Ma ay bear of Excellence This award is bresented to employees and volunteers who exceed expectations in the Standards of Behavior of Southeastern Health Nursing Assistant/Operating Room Tech Billy Edward McMillian (Surgical Services) was recognized as Southeastern Health's May Bear of Excellence. This award is presented to employees who exceed expectations. This employee was recognized for understanding the needs of the customer through active listening and being attentive to their concerns and needs; respecting patients and guests by giving them their full attention; anticipating needs and looking for ways to exceed customer expectations; holding co-workers accountable for following standards of behavior, and giving 100 percent of their attention when interacting with customers. Billy Edward MMillian (Surgical Services) McMillian, who has been with SeHealth since 1997, was given the award for his thoughtfulness and follow-through on an idea he had to move an unused blanket warmer to Southeastern Hospice House, which didn't have one. McMillian knew that the OR would get new blanket warmers after it moved to a remodeled space earlier this year, and asked his supervisor if one of the old blanket warmers could be given to Hospice House after the OR moved. McMillian became aware of the need at the Hospice House after he visited a family member there A resident of Lumberton, McMillian said the most rewarding part of his job is knowing that he is helping others and helping them to get better and feel better "I thoroughly enjoy my job," he said.
